FIE announces 2026-27 fencing season with events in Italy and Uzbekistan

The International Fencing Federation (FIE) has announced the 2026-27 season calendar, which will begin three weeks earlier than usual. The World Cup series is scheduled to start in mid-October to prevent scheduling congestion and event duplication.

The upcoming season features two major stages in Italy: a men's sabre World Cup in Padova from February 19-21 and a foil Grand Prix in Torino on February 26 and 28. Additionally, the 2027 World Championships will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from July 20 to 28.
