Fields Medalist Jacob Tsimerman Joins OpenAI to Work on AI Safety

Jacob Tsimerman, a 38‑year‑old mathematician who became the second Canadian to win the Fields Medal for his work on the André‑Oort conjecture, announced he will leave the University of Toronto and move to San Francisco to join OpenAI.
