Fiera Ice Arena nears completion in Milan

Construction is progressing on the Fiera Ice Arena, a new facility for ice sports located in the Fieramilano Rho exhibition district. The project is being funded by a 7 million euro investment from Fondazione Fiera Milano.

Key structural elements, including the load-bearing frame, tent fabric, and suspended systems for lighting and air conditioning, are already complete. Current work focuses on assembling the ice rink barriers and spectator stands, with the final phase involving the activation of the refrigeration system. The facility will include prefabricated modules for athlete changing rooms and public restrooms.

The arena, which will feature 4,000 seats, is expected to be operational by October. This timeline aligns with the Milano Hockey Club's schedule, which anticipates its first home match on Friday, October 9.

Separately, Daikin is participating as a Gold Sponsor in the 41st AiCARR National Convention in Turin on September 17. The convention will address the design and management of sports facilities, focusing on energy efficiency, air quality, and sustainability.
