Fiesta de las Llanuras declared of national interest in Argentina

The Argentine Chamber of Deputies has approved a resolution declaring the 67th Provincial and 5th National Fiesta de las Llanuras to be of national legislative interest. The event is scheduled to take place in Coronel Dorrego from October 30 to November 8, 2026.

The initiative, introduced by Deputy Sebastián Galmarini, recognizes the Peña Nativista de Coronel Dorrego for its role in organizing the festival since its inception. The celebration serves as a platform to preserve and promote the intangible cultural heritage of the Pampean plains, featuring traditional gaucho activities such as jineteada, gaucho parades, payada, and folk dance.
