Fiesta des Suds festival resumes in Marseille after wind cancellation

The 35th edition of the Fiesta des Suds music festival in Marseille faced significant weather challenges. For the first time in its history, the opening night scheduled for October 8 was canceled due to violent mistral wind gusts, which made it impossible to host the public on the Esplanade Gisèle Halimi.

Following the weather disruption, the festival resumed on October 9 and 10 at the J4 esplanade. Despite cold temperatures, performances included artists such as Stephan Eicher, Deluxe, Luiza, Selah Sue, Danitsa, and Bold. Stephan Eicher’s set featured a minimalist stage design with a focus on lighting and his distinctive vocals.
