FIFA admin costs hit record as Infantino salary tops R$30 million

Gianni Infantino received US$6 million (about R$30 million) in salary and benefits for 2025, a 29% rise from the previous year and bringing his total earnings since 2016 to roughly US$155 million. In the same year FIFA’s governance and administrative expenses reached a record US$254.3 million (≈R$1.3 billion).

FIFA projects administrative spending of US$905 million for the 2023‑2026 cycle and more than US$1 billion for 2027‑2030, driven by staff growth and an expanded committee structure that now includes 30 permanent committees and a 36‑member council. Despite the rising costs, the organisation expects revenues of US$13 billion for 2023‑2026 and says administrative expenses represent a small share of the overall budget, with about 90% of funds directed to football development.
