FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 announced for Indonesia and Hong Kong

FIFA has announced the inaugural FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026, scheduled to take place from September 24 to October 5, 2026. The tournament is designed to provide competitive matches for national teams during the FIFA international calendar.

The competition is divided into two tiers. Division 1 will be hosted in Indonesia, with matches held in Jakarta and Bandung. This division features eight teams: the 11 ASEAN members plus guest participants Bangladesh and Pakistan. Group A consists of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Bangladesh, while Group B includes Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and Pakistan.

Division 2 will be hosted in Hong Kong and includes six teams: Hong Kong, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Timor-Leste. The tournament format utilizes a single round-robin group stage, with group winners advancing to their respective division finals on October 5.
