Brazil 2027 Women's World Cup: FIFA completes stadium inspections

The FIFA Women's World Cup 2027, hosted by Brazil, is moving into its operational planning phase. FIFA has completed its third round of technical inspections across the eight host cities, including Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Porto Alegre, Fortaleza, Recife, and Salvador. These inspections involved over 100 professionals assessing stadium operations, security, and infrastructure.

Key tournament details include a schedule starting June 24, 2027, at the Maracanã Stadium, with the final also held at the same venue on July 25. The competition will feature 32 national teams competing in 64 matches. To ensure readiness, FIFA requires all host stadiums to be handed over for exclusive use 14 days prior to their first scheduled match.

Additionally, FIFA has opened applications for its volunteer program. Approximately 6,000 volunteers will be selected to support the event across the host cities. Requirements for applicants include being at least 18 years old and proficient in Portuguese or English. The official final draw is scheduled to be broadcast on Netflix on December 11.
