FIFA Forward Enterprise Deal Involving Josh Kushner and Trump Family

FIFA President Gianni Infantino proposes creating a new commercial subsidiary, FIFA Forward Enterprise (formerly FIFA Football Enterprises), valued at about $20 billion. The plan would sell a minority stake, raising up to $4.2 billion, with the proceeds earmarked for the 211 member associations.

Venture‑capitalist Josh Kushner, brother of former White House adviser Jared Kushner and son‑in‑law of former President Donald Trump, founded Thrive Eternal, the firm selected by Infantino to lead the investment. Trump told reporters he has never discussed the project with Infantino.

European and Asian football confederations, including UEFA, CONCACAF and the AFC, have publicly rejected the proposal and warned of a possible boycott that could exclude many top national teams from future FIFA competitions. The controversy comes as Infantino seeks re‑election in 2027, and the deal would benefit smaller federations that have backed him.
