FIFA launches volunteer recruitment for 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil

FIFA has opened the expression of interest phase for volunteers for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will be staged in Brazil from 24 June to 25 July 2027. The tournament will be played in eight host cities – Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo.

Around 6,000 volunteers will be selected to work in more than 30 different functions, ranging from media and technology to transport and competition operations. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be Brazilian citizens or have legal authorization to stay in Brazil during the event, and demonstrate proficiency in Portuguese or English (other languages are a plus). No prior volunteer experience is required.

Registrations are made through the FIFA Volunteer Community website, and the official selection process is slated to begin in the coming weeks. Selected volunteers must commit to a minimum number of shifts throughout the tournament period.
