FIFA opens volunteer applications for 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil
FIFA has opened volunteer applications for the 2027 Women's World Cup, which will be hosted in Brazil. The tournament is scheduled to begin on June 24, 2027, with the final set for July 25, 2027, at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
Organizers aim to select more than 6,000 volunteers to serve across eight host cities: Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and São Paulo. Volunteers will support over 20 to 30 functional areas, including technology, transport, media, ceremonies, competition management, and operations. Roles will be stationed at stadiums, airports, hotels, and training centers.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be a Brazilian citizen or have legal authorization to enter the country, and be proficient in either Portuguese or English. Candidates must be available to complete between seven and ten shifts during June and July 2027. While the positions are unpaid, volunteers will receive uniforms, meals during shifts, and local transportation within host cities.
