FIFA President Gianni Infantino is seeking a fourth and final term at the 77th FIFA Congress in Rabat, Morocco, scheduled for March 2027. His proposal to create a commercial subsidiary, FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE), that would sell roughly 20 % of FIFA’s commercial rights to raise up to US$4.2 billion was abandoned after strong opposition from UEFA, CONCACAF, AFC and other confederations.

The Wales Football Association became the first national federation to publicly withdraw its support for Infantino’s re‑election, citing a loss of confidence in his governance.
