FIFA rejects Ismael Rescalvo's USD 400,000 claim against Barcelona SC

The FIFA Player Status Chamber has rejected a claim filed by Spanish coach Ismael Rescalvo against the Ecuadorian club Barcelona SC. Rescalvo had sought approximately USD 400,000 based on a rescission agreement.

According to the ruling, Rescalvo lacked the legal standing to claim the full amount through FIFA. The organization determined that while the economic rights were later assigned to him, a portion of the original obligations belonged to other members of his technical staff. FIFA concluded that the existence of a global debt within a rescission agreement is not sufficient to grant a single individual the legitimacy to claim the entire sum before the organization.
