FIFA signs $4 million lease for largely unused Trump Tower office

FIFA has entered into a lease agreement for a 450-square-meter office space in New York City’s Trump Tower, a deal valued at approximately $4 million over seven years and seven months. The contract, which involves FIFA Americas Incorporation and Trump Tower Commercial LLC—a company presided over by Eric Trump—is set to run until 2032.

Reports indicate that the office space on the 17th floor remains largely unused and empty, despite FIFA already maintaining a legal structure in Miami. Internal concerns have been raised among senior FIFA officials regarding the lack of competitive bidding for the space and the potential for conflicts of interest, given the commercial ties to the family of the U.S. President during the lead-up to the 2026 World Cup.

The arrangement comes amid scrutiny of FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s efforts to strengthen ties with the Trump administration. Critics have pointed to the lease and other interactions as evidence of political maneuvering, while Infantino has characterized such scrutiny as a harassment campaign.
