FIFA signs $4 million lease for largely unused Trump Tower office

FIFA has signed a lease for a 450-square-meter office in Manhattan’s Trump Tower, totaling nearly $4 million over a period of seven years and seven months. The agreement, made between FIFA Americas Inc. and Trump Tower Commercial LLC, is set to run from June 2025 through late 2032.

Reports indicate the office, located on the 17th floor, remains largely unused by staff, as most FIFA Americas personnel are based in Miami. While President Gianni Infantino maintains an office at the location, internal concerns have been raised regarding the lack of competitive bidding for the property and the potential conflict of interest stemming from Infantino’s close relationship with President Donald Trump.

The office was officially inaugurated in June 2025 at an event featuring Infantino, Eric Trump, and Brazilian football legend Ronaldo. FIFA has defended the decision, stating that maintaining a presence in New York is logical for a global organization. The deal follows previous scrutiny regarding Infantino’s compensation and expenditures.
