FIFA World Cup 2026 gets 4K HDR and live data overlays in Germany and Spain

Deutsche Telekom’s MagentaTV in Germany will broadcast all 104 World Cup 2026 matches in UHD (4K) with HDR, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. A dedicated channel, FUSSBALL.TV 2, adds real‑time player positions, heat maps and individual statistics, creating a video‑game‑like experience. Public broadcasters ARD and ZDF will show Germany’s games and the final only in 1080p.

In Spain, Orange TV adds La 1 UHD to its lineup and expands the “Key Plays” tool, letting viewers instantly replay goals, penalties and other highlights. The service also introduces True Motion (50 fps), reduced latency and the premium Infinity HomeBox decoder with HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos, all aimed at enhancing the World Cup viewing experience.
