FIFA World Cup 2026 partners Visa and ADI Predictstreet spark scrutiny

Visa, the official payment‑technology partner of the FIFA World Cup 2026, has launched a limited‑edition set of commemorative cards in Argentina through Banco Macro. The cards feature dynamic designs that can be updated digitally throughout the tournament and are part of a wider activation across 25 markets.

At the same time, ADI Predictstreet, a newly created prediction‑market platform, was named FIFA’s first official prediction partner despite being incorporated only weeks before an April 2026 agreement. The company secured a $150 million deal, a Gibraltar licence issued in record time, and a partnership alongside brands such as McDonald’s, Coca‑Cola and Visa. Regulators and analysts have raised concerns about its short operating history, licensing speed, links to a European political scandal, and the potential for market manipulation and money‑laundering.

Both developments highlight the commercial reach of the 2026 World Cup and the growing scrutiny of its corporate collaborators.
