FIFA World Cup 2026 to stream on YouTube and air on DAZN in Spain

FIFA has signed an agreement with YouTube to make the platform its preferred digital home for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held from 11 June to 19 July 2026 in the United States, Mexico and Canada. The deal allows YouTube to show the first ten minutes of every match live and, in selected territories, to broadcast full matches on‑demand, marking a shift toward short‑form and mobile viewing.

In Spain, the broadcasting arrangement is a hybrid model. Subscription service DAZN holds exclusive rights to all 104 matches, offering live and on‑demand coverage for the entire tournament. Public broadcaster RTVE will provide free‑to‑air coverage of roughly 20‑25 games, including all matches involving the Spanish team, the semifinals, the third‑place match and the final, spread across La 1, Teledeporte and RTVE Play. This split ensures marquee games remain accessible while full access requires a paid platform.
