FIGC releases Eccellenza league groupings for Piedmont and Emilia‑Romagna

The Piedmont committee of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has published the groupings for the regional Eccellenza, Promozione and Prima Categoria competitions. In Eccellenza Group B, three Asti clubs – Pro Villafranca, San Domenico Savio and newly promoted Spartak San Damiano – will face teams from Cuneo, Turin, Alessandria and other provinces. The season will begin with the Coppa Italia on 23 August for Eccellenza and 30 August for Promozione, followed by league matches starting on 6 September.

Separately, the FIGC Crer announced that Ars et Labor Ferrara will compete in Group A of the Eccellenza league covering the provinces of Ferrara, Bologna, Parma, Piacenza, Modena and Reggio Emilia. The group includes clubs such as Agazzanese, Arcetana, Mutina, Brescello and others, and will not feature the usual derbies with Comacchio and Mesola.
