Olympic figure skating gold medalist Alissa Liu attended the Academy Museum Gala 2026 in Los Angeles, drawing significant media attention for her attire. As a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton, Liu wore a custom black two-piece ensemble featuring a sleeveless top and skirt.

The intricate outfit included hand-embroidered sequins, a process that required approximately 250 hours for the top and 420 hours for the skirt. US media outlets noted her presence on the red carpet alongside Hollywood figures, highlighting her transition from an Olympic icon to a global personality.

Liu, who won the US Championships in 2019 and the World Championships in 2025, was previously named one of TIME magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential People’ in June.
