Figure skaters Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara appear publicly after engagement

Figure skating pair Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara, known as ‘Rikuryu’, made their first public appearance following their engagement announcement at a promotional event in Tokyo. The pair, who are gold medalists for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, attended a launch event for the Shiseido brand Elixir.

During the event, the pair performed their signature lift technique. They also shared “letters to our future selves” written for ten years into the future. Kihara expressed his desire to continue their journey as a pair for decades to come, stating he wants to cherish their relationship while growing together over the next 10 to 60 years. Miura shared her hope for a life filled with smiles and self-love.

While the pair did not explicitly discuss their engagement during the presentation, Shiseido representatives presented them with a bouquet of flowers to celebrate the news.
