FiiO announces CLASS A amplifier and DP11 CD player
Guangzhou FiiO Electronics Technology Co. Ltd. has announced new audio components, including the FiiO CLASS A headphone amplifier and the FiiO DP11 CD player.
The FiiO CLASS A is a fully discrete Class-A analog headphone amplifier and preamplifier designed for desktop HiFi systems. It features a fully symmetrical differential circuit capable of delivering up to 2 × 4 Watts at 32 Ohms via 4.4 mm Pentaconn and 4-pin XLR connections. The device includes five gain stages, adjustable bass and treble controls, and multiple analog inputs and outputs, allowing it to function as a preamplifier for active speakers or power amplifiers.
The FiiO DP11 is a compact CD player scheduled for release in October with a suggested retail price of 185 Euro. It features a proprietary tray-loading drive and can rip audio CDs directly to a USB stick as WAV files without a computer. The device also functions as a USB-DAC, supporting PCM up to 32-bit/384 kHz and native DSD256. It utilizes a Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC for its analog stereo outputs and provides several digital outputs, including coaxial, Toslink, and AES/EBU via XLR.
