Fiji Pro WSL event resumes at Cloudbreak following weather delays

The Fiji Pro Championship Tour event at Cloudbreak is set to resume on Tuesday following a suspension caused by poor sea conditions. While the women's competition has already determined its eight quarterfinalists, the men's division is preparing for the round of 16.

Brazilian surfers maintain a strong presence in the men's bracket. Ítalo Ferreira, the 2019 world champion, is scheduled to face Japan's Conor O’Leary. Other Brazilian competitors advancing to the round of 16 include Yago Dora, Samuel Pupo, Miguel Pupo, and Gabriel Medina.

In the women's division, Luana Silva was recently eliminated by Hawaii's Bettylou Sakura Johnson, finishing the event in ninth place. The next official call for competition is expected on Tuesday at 16:00 BRT, provided swell conditions improve.
