Juventus revive interest in Milan defender Fikayo Tomori as Gatti exit looms

Juventus have renewed talks about signing AC Milan centre‑back Fikayo Tomori, a player they pursued in January 2025 before he rejected the move. Tomori, 28, is under contract with Milan until 2027 and earns about €3.5 million a year. The arrival of Mario Gila at Milan has reduced his playing time, prompting the club to consider a sale that could generate a profit of roughly €7 million.

Juventus’ transfer strategy this summer follows a “sell first, then buy” policy. The club must off‑load centre‑back Federico Gatti, who is linked with Napoli and carries a contract until 2030 with a €3 million‑plus salary. Juventus value Gatti at €20‑25 million, and his departure would free both squad space and finances for a Tomori purchase.

Newcastle United have also been reported as interested in Tomori, and Tottenham was linked with him in the past, but Juventus remain the primary suitor. Sporting director Ricky Massara, who originally brought Tomori to Milan, is said to give Turin an advantage in negotiations.
