Filadelfia launches first CICO Festival of urban theatre and contemporary circus

The town of Filadelfia in Calabria will host the inaugural CICO Festival, a five‑day program of contemporary circus and urban theatre running from 28 July to 1 August. The free‑entry event is organised by Andrea Naso of the cultural association DRACMA and will turn Piazza Serrao and the municipal auditorium into open‑air stages.

Highlights include the show “Strampalati” by Compagnia Circ’Hulon, a cabaret titled “P. O. P. Piccola Orchestra Pasolini” honoring Pier Paolo Pasolini, and a family clown workshop led by Pasquale Marino, known as Bergamotto. Performances feature acrobatics, clownerie, juggling, verticalism and site‑specific installations, with artists from Italy and across Europe.
