Filermos restores bronze Via Crucis reliefs

The bronze reliefs of the Via Crucis have been returned to the shrines in Filermos, restoring a significant monument that had remained incomplete for over a year. The restoration follows the theft of seven original reliefs.

The project was completed through a collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and the South Aegean Region. The reliefs, originally created in 1925 by sculptor Antonio Maraini during the Italian administration of Rhodes, have been replaced with bronze replicas produced from casts to ensure the protection of the site's cultural heritage.
