Filfat Mucureezi crowned Miss Tourism Uganda 2026

Filfat Mucureezi, 20, has been crowned Miss Tourism Uganda 2026 following a grand finale featuring contestants from 12 different regional clusters. Mucureezi, representing the Ankole region, secured the title after a strong performance in the judges' question-and-answer segment. Her prize includes a fully furnished, rent-free house at Villa Vellar Estate in Bwebajja.

The event included a significant tribute to the late Tooro King, Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, who passed away on August 27, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. The pageant paused to honor the former monarch for his contributions to Uganda’s cultural heritage and tourism promotion.

The ceremony was attended by various officials, including State Minister for Tourism Susan Nakawuki Nsambu and representatives from the Uganda Tourism Board and Uganda Wildlife Authority.
