FILGem book fair to host gender and feminism studies in Mexico City
The second edition of the International Book Fair of Gender and Feminisms (FILGem) will take place from September 25 to 27 at Laguna México in Mexico City. Created by writer and editor Adriana Romero-Nieto, the event aims to centralize specialized editorial production that is currently dispersed and provide a space for exchanging diverse perspectives on feminism and gender theories.
The fair will feature more than 50 national and international publishing projects and bookstores, including Penguin Random House, Siglo XXI, and El Colegio de México. The cultural program includes 19 activities, such as book presentations, reflection tables, and artistic forums, focusing on literature written by women, human rights, and social issues.
