Filipa Appleton Resigns as Continente Marketing Director

Filipa Appleton announced on LinkedIn that she is leaving her role as Director of Marketing at the Portuguese retailer Continente, a position she has held since September 2023. In her farewell post she said the chapter of her professional life at Continente is ending and she will pursue new personal projects.

Appleton will assume the presidency of the Advertising Self‑Regulation body from April 2026 and the vice‑presidency of the Portuguese Advertisers Association (APAN) from the same month. Her career includes senior roles at Banco Espírito Santo, Lexmark Portugal, Nokia, Lidl and Galp. Continente has not commented on her departure.
