Filipina expat wins AED 5 million in UAE Lottery

Zenn Ariane Garceles, a 38-year-old Filipina expat living in Dubai, has become the first female millionaire through The UAE Lottery. She won the AED 5 million second prize in the Lucky Day Draw.

Garceles, who has worked as a dental assistant in Dubai for 13 years, noted that she discovered her win after seeing a social media post regarding a major prize winner. While she previously used significant dates like birthdays to select her numbers, her winning ticket was generated using the lottery’s ‘Easy Pick’ random number option.

Upon realizing the scale of the prize, Garceles and her husband initially struggled to process the amount. She expressed intentions to use the winnings to support her family, including her sister’s education in the Philippines. The lottery operations are regulated by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority.
