Filippo Sorcinelli designs vestments for three popes
Italian designer Filippo Sorcinelli, head of Atelier LAVS for 25 years, has gained international recognition for creating liturgical vestments for three consecutive popes: Benedict XVI, Francis, and most recently, Leo XIV.
Working from Santarcangelo di Romagna, Sorcinelli describes his role as one of deep responsibility and respect for the dignity of the clergy. He views liturgical norms not as restrictions, but as essential guidelines for sacred art. Beyond vestments, his business has expanded to include perfumes and body products, though he maintains that his work is fundamentally driven by his personal experience of faith.
