Film anniversaries and screenings scheduled in Germany

Various cinematic events and anniversaries are being organized across Germany this November.

In Arnsberg, the Apollo Kino will host a Rocky film marathon on November 14, 2026, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film franchise. The event will feature all six original films in a single day and includes a special program with tributes to deceased actors and filmmakers. The marathon coincides with the traditional Rocky Run in Philadelphia.

Additionally, the Filmforum Höchst is concluding its anniversary year with a series of classic film screenings. The lineup includes Werner Herzog’s ‘Fitzcarraldo’, Sergei Eisenstein’s ‘Battleship Potemkin’ accompanied by Pet Shop Boys music, Alexander Kluges’ ‘Gelegenheitsarbeit einer Sklavin’, Oliver Stone’s ‘The Doors’, Fritz Lang’s ‘M’, and Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘Apocalypse Now – Final Cut’.
