Film Festival della Lessinia to celebrate mountain traditions in 32nd edition

The 32nd edition of the Film Festival della Lessinia (FFDL) is scheduled to take place in Bosco Chiesanuova, Verona, from August 21 to August 30, 2026. This year’s theme focuses on “lingua madre” (mother tongue) as a way to oppose cultural homogenization, highlighting the lives, histories, and traditions of mountain communities, rural lands, and remote peripheries.

The festival program includes 107 events, such as exhibitions, workshops, concerts, and editorial presentations. The cinematic selection features 83 films from 43 different countries, including 27 Italian premieres. These will be screened across 40 sessions at the Teatro Vittoria, with approximately 20 official selection films also available on the MyMovies platform from August 21 to September 6.

Organized by the Film Festival della Lessinia Association under President Nadia Massella and Artistic Director Alessandro Anderloni, the event will host various guests for the ‘Parole Alte’ sessions. Notable participants include meteorologist Luca Mercalli, singer Gigliola Cinquetti, psychiatrist Vittorino Andreoli, Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco, and Bishop Domenico Pompili, among others.
