Film festivals and environmental cinema series held in Italy

The second edition of the Millimetri film festival is returning to Tolentino, Italy. The event aims to explore the intersection of design and cinema, spanning genres from horror to animation. The festival opens on October 30 at the Politeama Franco Moschini with a 4K screening of John Carpenter’s “They Live,” accompanied by a live screen-printing workshop hosted by MarcheLove.

In Teramo, the WWF Abruzzo is continuing its “CinEco” environmental film series at Cinema Smeraldo. Following the screening of “Ritorno al tratturo,” the program will feature “Children of the Anthropocene” by Franco-American director Anne De Carbuccia on October 28. The documentary explores the climate crisis through the stories of young global leaders resisting environmental failure across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
