Film festivals and open-air cinema events debut in Germany

Several film events have recently debuted or celebrated milestones in Germany. In Schonungen, the premiere of the 'Mainufer-Flimmern' open-air cinema attracted approximately 500 guests. The event featured a variety of films, including 'Steckerlfischfiasko', 'Minions 2', and 'The Devil Wears Prada 2', hosted on a large screen set against the backdrop of Schloss Mainberg.

In Starnberg, the 20th anniversary of the Fünf Seen Filmfestival opened at the Schlossberghalle. The jubilee edition commenced with the screening of 'Lieblingsmenschen – Die außergewöhnliche Freundschaft von Agnes und Amir', a film inspired by a real-life friendship between a 101-year-old woman and a refugee from Iran. This year's festival features over 150 films under the motto 'Start Small. Change Everything'.
