Film festivals announced for Battipaglia and Altavilla Irpina

Two film festivals are scheduled to take place in Italy in late 2026.

The Picentia Short Film Festival will celebrate its tenth anniversary from September 21 to 27, 2026. The event, themed ‘Echoes’, will be held across Battipaglia and Vietri sul Mare. The festival features 29 finalist short films competing for various awards, including the new ‘Over Time’ section for medium and long films. Actor Fortunato Cerlino is set to receive the ‘Picentia Award – Città di Battipaglia’.

The Altavilla Film Fest will hold its inaugural edition from October 15 to 18, 2026, at the Teatro Alfredo Sardone in Altavilla Irpina. The festival received 1,018 film submissions from Italy and around the world. Directed by Modestino Di Nenna, the event aims to connect local territory with international cinema through short films, documentaries, and music videos.
