Film festivals bring diverse cinematic programs to Bosnia and Herzegovina

Various film festivals are bringing diverse cinematic programs to audiences in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Mediteran Film Festival (MFF) in Široki Brijeg is presenting its ‘In Focus’ program, featuring nine short documentaries from Spain, Italy, Palestine, Turkey, Kosovo, and Croatia. The selection explores themes of war, identity, and personal memory, including works such as Violeta Garcia Escobar’s ‘Triage’ and Omar Rammal’s ‘Everyday Life in Gaza.’

Additionally, the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival is hosting a selection of films in Jajce from September 10 to 12 at the Museum of the II AVNOJ Session. The free program includes ‘The Boy from Congo’ by Rafikia Faria, the Cannes Palme d’Or winner ‘Fjord’ by Cristian Mungiu, and ‘The Match,’ a documentary reconstructing the 1986 World Cup game between England and Argentina.
