Film festivals in Morocco announce new jury chairs

Several major film festivals in Morocco have announced leadership and jury details for their upcoming editions.

Turkish actress Tuba Buyukustun has been appointed as the chairwoman of the international jury for the Marrakech Short Film Festival. The festival aims to provide a platform for both emerging and established filmmakers to showcase innovative short films.

Meanwhile, the 31st edition of the Festival de Cinéma Méditerranéen de Tétouan is scheduled to take place from October 3 to 10, 2026. The festival has entered a period of transition following the election of former minister Charafat Afailal as the new president of the Foundation, succeeding Ahmed Housni. Spanish actress Mónica López will preside over the international jury for the official competition of fiction and documentary feature films.
