Film industry insights: Noah Centineo and Andrew Patterson share career anecdotes
Actor Noah Centineo recently shared details regarding a failed audition for Christopher Nolan’s science fiction film, ‘Interstellar’. Speaking on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, Centineo recounted how he inadvertently sabotaged his chances for the role originally played by Timothée Chalamet. He described an awkward interaction with a casting assistant involving a request to use a swimming pool at the audition location.
In a separate industry development, director Andrew Patterson revealed that he declined an opportunity to direct a new installment in the ‘Cloverfield’ franchise. Following his work on ‘The Vast of Night’, Patterson entered discussions with J. J. Abrams’ production company, Bad Robot, but ultimately turned down the project due to concerns that the development process would be excessively long.
