Film premieres at Rome Film Festival
The Rome Film Festival features new cinematic works, including the animated film ‘Tangles’ and the drama ‘Un altro giorno insieme’.
‘Tangles’, based on the graphic memoir by New Yorker illustrator Sarah Leavitt, explores a family's experience with Alzheimer's disease. The film follows the personal history of Leavitt, tracing her journey from a Jewish family in Maine to her career in San Francisco, set against the backdrop of her mother's diagnosis.
‘Un altro giorno insieme’, presented within the Alice nella Città section, is based on the novel by Matteo Losa. The film tells the story of two eighteen-year-olds, Barbara and Giovanni, who meet in a hospital. Barbara is a student pressured by her oncologist father to pursue medicine, while Giovanni is a patient living with cancer. The film features a cast including Margherita Buoncristiani, Francesco Zenga, and Flavia Leone.
