Film production begins on biopic of footballer Alèxia Putellas

A film centered on the life and career of footballer Alèxia Putellas is currently being filmed at various locations in Barcelona and Valencia. Directed by Lucía Alemany, the project aims to portray Putellas as a pioneer who paved the way for future generations of female athletes.

Madicken Mauri-Sandaker, a 16-year-old footballer from Girona, has been cast to portray the adolescent version of Putellas. Alemany noted that Mauri-Sandaker was selected for her ability to bring natural energy and character to the role without the need for professional acting experience.
