Film ‘RYUJI’ to hold Japan premiere in Shinjuku on October 7

The Japan premiere for the film ‘RYUJI’ is scheduled for October 7 at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku, the setting of the movie's narrative. The event will feature a stage greeting by lead actor Yuya Yagira, director Nobuo Mizuta, and several cast members, including Rina Kawaei, Riku Hagiwara, JUNON (BE:FIRST), Ken Miyake, Hideaki Ito, and RYUKI (MAZZEL).

Set in Shinjuku's Kabukicho between 1984 and 1990, the film is a new adaptation of the legendary work ‘Ryuji’ by Masatsugu Kaneko. The story follows Ryuji, a strong-willed yakuza, as he attempts to leave the underworld to build a peaceful life with his wife, Mariko, and their newborn son, while navigating the complex bonds of his former criminal life.

New promotional stills have been released, depicting the contrast between Ryuji's intense life in the underworld and his tender moments with his family. The film is set for a nationwide release in Japan on October 30.
