Film workshops for youth organized in Bjelovar and Ivanovec

Film workshops and camps are being organized in Croatia to teach youth the technical and creative aspects of filmmaking.

In Bjelovar, Kino Klub Bjelovar is hosting a short film production workshop from August 18 to 23. Led by Mate Pušić, the program allows participants to experience various roles on a professional set, including directing, producing, sound recording, and script supervision. The workshop aims to introduce participants to the real filming process and includes a subsequent editing session led by Lucija Strugar. The project is supported by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre and the City of Bjelovar.

In Ivanovec, the Foto-kino klub recently concluded a five-day film camp that brought together approximately 15 young enthusiasts from various Croatian counties and Hungary. Under the guidance of instructors like Stjepan Petković and Živa Žigmund, participants moved from initial idea and scriptwriting to filming and final processing. The camp focuses on teaching technical skills such as tripod use, sound, and lighting, while encouraging collaborative creativity.
