FILMARE Festival concludes with award for ‘Alby – L’ultimo Ulivo’
The sixth edition of the FILMARE Festival, a film festival dedicated to short films about the sea and the environment, has concluded in Sangineto. The winning short film was ‘Alby – L’ultimo Ulivo’, directed by Alessandro Parrello and starring Francesco Pannofino and Nina Torresi. The film uses fantasy elements to address nature conservation and the future of younger generations.
During the closing ceremony, Kim Rossi Stuart received the special FILMARE Prize for ‘Artistic Excellence in Italian Cinema’. Other awards included Mimmo Calopresti for ‘Excellence in Calabrian Cinema’ and Annalisa Insardà for ‘Calabrian Excellence in Interpretative Art’. The event also featured discussions on environmental protection and sustainable tourism.
