Filmin to release original series ‘Segunda temporada’ on October 27

Filmin will release its new original series, ‘Segunda temporada’, in its entirety on October 27. Produced in collaboration with Boogaloo Films and Canada, the tragicomedy marks the return of the creative team behind ‘Autodefensa’, including Miguel Ángel Blanca and Berta Prieto.

The series consists of seven episodes, each ranging from 30 to 45 minutes. Each episode utilizes a different narrative proposal and genre to explore themes of success, failure, and second chances. The plot follows Paula Ferrara, a once-successful writer turned ghostwriter for influencers, and Lil Rogelio, a declining trap music legend recently released from prison, as they attempt to reinvent themselves.

Following its world premiere at the Santander Film Festival and a Catalan premiere at the Serielizados Festival, the series aims to critique the industry's obsession with prolonging relevance and the complexities of identity in the age of influencers and trap culture.
