Filming begins for Bulgarian feature film ‘Moreto ot neshta’

Production has commenced on the new Bulgarian feature film ‘Moreto ot neshta’ (A Sea of Things). Directed by Stanislav Todorov-Rogi and produced by Borislav Chuchkov, Tonka Dobrinska, and Georgi Skalev, the film explores the relationship between a mother and daughter.

The narrative connects the present day with the turbulent period of the late 1990s in Sofia. Through a time-travel element, the daughter, Arlina, encounters her 18-year-old mother, Aneliya, in a different light than her current high-ranking position in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The story touches on themes of love, youth, the ‘Kravay’ era, and ‘Nova Generatsiya’ music.

The cast includes Margita Gosheva as Aneliya and Kremena Slavcheva as Arlina, alongside Simeon Lyutakov, Aleksandar Kenderov, Spartak Todorov, Plamen Dimov, Georgi Manchev, and Snezhina Petrova.
