Filming begins for Spanish comedy 'Buen Camino' in Galicia
Production has commenced on 'Buen Camino', a new comedy directed by Susan Béjar. Filming began this week in O Cebreiro, Lugo, and is scheduled to continue throughout the autumn in various locations across Galicia, Gran Canaria, and Madrid.
The film is a Spanish adaptation of the Italian comedy of the same name, which was the highest-grossing film in Italy last year. Set against the backdrop of the Camino de Santiago, the story follows a father and his teenage daughter who are nearly strangers as they navigate family conflicts and unexpected encounters during their journey.
The cast includes Jordi Sánchez, Venecia Franco, Marta Aledo, Joaquín Reyes, and Cristina Castaño, with supporting roles from Antonio Resines, Carlos Areces, and Pablo Carbonell. The project is a co-production involving AF México, El Pasado Films AIE, Sony Pictures Entertainment Iberia, Emedia Canary, Match Point, and Zircozine, with participation from Movistar Plus. Sony Pictures Entertainment Iberia will handle distribution for its 2027 theatrical release.
