Filosofía Elevate announces rehabilitation of Tijuana library

The Filosofía Elevate group has announced a project to rehabilitate the Juan María Salvatierra Library located in the Infonavit Cachanillas residential area of Tijuana. The initiative has received authorization from the Municipal Institute of Art and Culture.

Founder María Conde stated that the reactivation of this public library aims to create safe spaces for children and adolescents in a community currently facing high insecurity rates. The library, which was founded in 1992, had fallen into disrepair and was previously inactive. The project includes cleaning efforts to address issues with informal trash dumps near the facility and the adjacent community center.
