Filox Energy Materials seeks mining opportunities in Egypt
The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources is discussing potential investments with the Australian company Filox Energy Materials. During a meeting in New Alamein, Egyptian Petroleum Minister Karim Badawi met with Filox CEO Nicole Murcomb and other executives to explore the company’s entry into the Egyptian mining market.
Minister Badawi emphasized that Egypt is working to create an encouraging investment environment by enhancing private sector participation and foreign investment. He noted that the ministry is continuously developing mechanisms to offer mining areas through transparent and clear procedures to attract serious international companies.
Nicole Murcomb expressed strong interest in applying for mining concessions in Egypt, specifically targeting areas within the Arabian-Nubian Shield. She highlighted the company’s expertise in the mining sectors of Australia and Canada and noted that Filox’s geological team sees significant promise in Egypt’s available mineral resources.
