FIN Expo 2026 opens in Makassar to boost financial literacy

The Financial Expo (FIN Expo) 2026 was held at the Trans Studio Mall (TSM) Makassar from October 2 to 4, marking the peak of Financial Inclusion Month in South and West Sulawesi. Organized by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Financial Services Industry Communication Forum (FKIJK), the event featured 28 exhibition booths designed to bridge the gap between financial inclusion and literacy.

OJK South Sulawesi and West Sulawesi Head, Moh. Muchlasin, noted that while access to financial products is high, deep understanding of their benefits and risks remains a priority. The expo aims to provide capital solutions for MSMEs and protect younger generations from fraudulent investments.

According to 2026 survey data, approximately 93.01 percent of the population uses financial products or services, an increase from 92.7 percent in 2025. Riza Pahlevi, the event committee chair and Regional CEO of BRI Regional Office 15 Makassar, emphasized that the expo serves as a space for education and interaction to help the public manage finances more wisely.
